Mufs supporters and players watch on as Mangesh Akerkar and Vimal start to edge us closer to the required 102 for victory
Vimal almost connecting with a big 'un
But to Dr Astley's first prescription, Vimal nibbles one to slip....
And The Cross celebrate the third wicket and Mufs are 52-3 with a bit of work to do, though still in the box seat.
Still much work to do as Mufs watch on
But Rafic looks a happy man anyway
Raj Sampath (pictured above) and Mangesh carefully build a 44 run stand with necessary caution to begin with.
Mufs start to accelerate with a flurry of boundaries from Mangesh
The Beard in full flow after retrieving one of them
And also a boundary to leg from Raj as Mufs up the tempo.
Final throw of the dice for Cross as Shannon Bonfield returns to the attack
The Beard in full glorious flow but Raj and Mangesh are well set and playing smoothly.
Mufs are within 6 runs of victory before a late strike from Ian Astley (pictured in action) traps Mufs MoM, Mangesh, LBW for a fine 44
But the end is nigh for Cross as Danny nails the winning runs with two successive boundaries
Danny and Raj return after a job well done with a 6 wicket victory earnt by Mufs on the back of a great team effort in the field and then sensible batting. Now lets make sure we maintain those good standards every week.
The teams and supporters (DAFS veteran Willie Richie in the foreground) share
some after match beer and other forms of mild intoxication.
